📋 VEHICLE TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTIC REPORT

DIAGNOSTIC DATE: March 29-30, 2026

🚗 VEHICLE INFORMATION

Model: Audi A6 (C5) 1.9 TDI
Year: 2003
Mileage: 206,730 km
VIN: K8M2N3P4R5S6T7U8
Engine: 1.9l R4 EDC (Unit Injector / PD)
Transmission: Multitronic 01J (CVT)

🟢 1. ENGINE STATUS (1.9 TDI) — EXCELLENT

The engine is in excellent technical condition with significant remaining service life.

Injectors and Cylinder-Piston Group:

Ideal condition. Compression is strong enough to start the engine instantly, even if the fuel mixture is slightly incorrect.

EGR System (Ecology):

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is physically or electronically closed (deleted). The engine breathes clean air (Requested: 260 mg/H, Actual: 416 mg/H), meaning no soot enters the intake. This is a major benefit for engine longevity.

Timing Phases (Synchronization):

The torsion value (sync angle) is +2.20°. While it is within the factory tolerance (-3° to +3°), an adjustment to 0.0° is recommended for smoother and quieter operation.

🟡 2. TRANSMISSION STATUS (Multitronic 01J) — SATISFACTORY

The gearbox shows signs of natural age-related wear but remains fully functional.

Hydraulics and Chain:

The main oil pump works perfectly and can maintain pressure for up to 396 Nm of torque. No chain slippage was detected.

Electronics (TCU):

The transmission control unit is fully operational; sensors are transmitting correct data. Communication with the Engine and ABS modules is stable.

Valve Body (Mechatronics):

Mechanical wear was identified in the internal valves. This occasionally prevents the gearbox from smoothly engaging the clutch, which previously caused jerks or engine stalling. A software adaptation for the forward clutch has been performed (Status: "ADP is OK").

📌 Operational Recommendation: Always wait 1-2 seconds after shifting to D (Drive) or R (Reverse) before pressing the accelerator. Avoid sudden starts ("flooring it") and do not tow heavy trailers.

🔴 3. COOLING AND ELECTRICAL — REQUIRES ATTENTION

Alternator:

Working perfectly. Delivers a stable 14.0 V even under maximum load.

Expansion Tank:

A coolant leak was detected (micro-crack in the plastic/connector). Driving under pressure is prohibited until the part is replaced.

Temperature Sensor (G62):

Faulty. Reports low readings (57-67°C on a hot engine). This causes the ECU to artificially increase idle speed (900+ RPM) and increases fuel consumption.

4. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC)

The following non-critical errors were recorded:

P157000 (Engine):

Engine Control Unit Locked (Historical/intermittent immobilizer error).

P072700 / P175300 (Transmission):

Loss of RPM signal / Implausible selector signal (Intermittent).

01561 (Central Locking):

Faulty lock/microswitch in the rear left door (interior lights may not react to this door opening).

🟡 PRIORITY 2: Comfort and Efficiency
  • Coolant temperature sensor (G62) (Sensor de temperatura do líquido de refrigeração)
Note: Must include a new rubber O-ring and plastic clip/retainer.
  • GREEN power steering fluid (Líquido de direção assistida VERDE)
Attention: Must be GREEN only! Standard CHF 11S or G004000.

🛠 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE WORKSHOP (Next Maintenance)

During the next scheduled oil change, ask the mechanic to adjust the camshaft synchronization angle:

🗣️ Instruction for the mechanic:
"Preciso de afinar o ângulo de sincronização da árvore de cames. No computador mostra +2.2, gostava de o colocar a 0.0 para o motor trabalhar mais suave."
